A Wine Country Engagement: Elaine & Kyle

So this post is extra special for me. I met Elaine 3 years ago while I was at Berkeley. She's actually my ΣΟΠ little sister! We've been through so much together, from long distance relationships, to engagements, to weddings!

So you can imagine my excitement when I got a text from her this summer, announcing her engagement! I'm so excited for Elaine & Kyle's new adventure and all of the memories to come!

Me: How did you two lovebirds meet?

Elaine: We met in the lobby of the police department on our first day of work. I introduced myself to Kyle and he was just like, "Hey." I remember thinking he was rude and I dreaded getting into the elevator with him. Kyle was just worried about the job!

When did you know that she was the one for you?

Kyle: When we went to Disneyland for the first time together and I realized I could spend a whole weekend with her without getting tired of her.

Elaine: The Mickey Mouse ring I wear on my right hand is from that trip! :)

Tell us about the proposal story!

Elaine: It was on my birthday. Both of our families were over at my dad's house. Kyle asked me to go inside the house while everyone else was outside and that's when I knew it was going to happen! He asked my dad for permission, and came inside to get me. He walked me down to my dad's deck which overlooks a private lagoon, got down on one knee, and asked! Our dog, Bentley, got a little jealous and jumped in between us for some kisses. It was perfect!

Where do you see yourselves in 10 years?

Kyle: Still in love
